Using Dumb It Down

These terms apply to Dumb It Down at simplifytext.net. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. You must have the legal capacity and any permission needed to use the service and make purchases.

Dumb It Down uses AI to rewrite text in simpler language. Results may contain errors, omit context, or change meaning. Review important facts, numbers, and conditions before relying on or sharing a result. The service does not provide professional medical, legal, or financial advice and does not guarantee accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose.

Free try and accounts

New users may try one text simplification without logging in or providing a payment card, with a limit of 1,000 input characters. Further use requires registering or signing in and having enough valid credits. Each new account receives 1 welcome credit once, with no expiry. When credits are insufficient, purchase a credit pack or subscription to continue.

We enforce the trial using browser, network, and, where available, account identifiers. A shared network may already have used its trial. Do not bypass these limits by rotating accounts or identifiers. If you believe access was restricted in error, contact support.

Keep your login details secure and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for the information you submit and for activity you authorize through your account.

Credits and usage limits

Paid simplification uses one credit per 1,000 input characters, rounded up separately for each request, with a maximum of 10,000 characters per request. Leading and trailing whitespace is removed for billing. Counts follow the application's character counter rather than a word count; some emoji and combined characters may count as more than one unit.

Credits are reserved before generation. If generation fails, the service restores the reserved credits or releases the free trial reservation. Contact support if a failed request was not restored correctly. A successful result that you choose not to use still consumes credits.

Credit allocations and expiration depend on the selected plan and are shown on the pricing page and in your account. Credits are service usage allowances, not money, and are not transferable. Unused credits can expire; do not assume they roll over into the next billing period.

Prices, subscriptions, and cancellation

The pricing page and checkout show the available plan, currency, price, billing interval, and included credits. Review the final amount, including any applicable taxes, before paying. The free try does not automatically enroll you in a subscription or create a charge.

A one-time credit pack costs $2.99 for 50 credits, valid for 30 days after purchase. It does not auto-renew or change an existing subscription. Credits are issued only after successful payment.

If you purchase a recurring subscription, you authorize the payment provider to charge the displayed amount at the selected interval until cancelled. Manage cancellation from your account's billing page before the next renewal, or email support@simplifytext.net if you cannot access the cancellation controls. The billing page or provider confirmation states when cancellation takes effect. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not itself refund prior charges or extend credit expiration.

For duplicate charges, payment errors, service failures, or other refund requests, email support with your account email and order reference. We review requests individually. Any mandatory refund or cancellation rights under applicable law remain unaffected. We do not promise a universal refund window or automatic refunds for unused credits.

Your content and acceptable use

You retain any rights you hold in submitted content. You give us permission to process that content and transmit it to our service providers as necessary to provide simplification. Output may resemble results generated for others; we do not guarantee that it is unique or free of third-party rights. You are responsible for having permission to submit and use the content.

Do not use the service unlawfully, violate others' rights, submit malware, steal credentials, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, or evade billing and trial controls. See our Privacy Policy before submitting personal or sensitive information.

Availability, suspension, and responsibility

We may maintain, change, or temporarily interrupt the service. Availability also depends on hosting, AI, and payment providers. We may restrict access when needed to address abuse, security risks, unpaid charges, or violations of these terms. To request account closure, contact support; also cancel any active subscription to stop renewal charges.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted operation or error-free output. We are not responsible for indirect losses arising from reliance on generated text. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
